Digging Up Profitable Opportunities

As the excavation in Xi'an continues, we'll likely hear about more great discoveries. Archeologists predict that there are about 6,000 terracotta figures in the large pit (230 x 62 meters), and more than a 1,000 have already been found on previous digs.

Last week, I noted that Ctrip.com (NASDAQ: CTRP) is one of my top three Internet buys. And it remains the best bet on China's travel industry.

In fact, after the Chinese government lifted travel restrictions following the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Ctrip's business started taking flight again. As a result, its share price has more than doubled since November 20 -- Ctrip's stock is up a whopping 153%!

During the first quarter, the company's revenues popped 18% to $59 million and income jumped 23% to $18 million, or 26 cents per share. And Ctrip's management is projecting year-on-year net revenue growth of 10% to 15% in the second quarter.

Following such a positive earnings announcement on May 11, Ctrip's shares have continued to push higher -- up 28% since then. The company is set to report second-quarter earnings in early August -- you're going to want to be on board before then, and the next pop higher.
